Here’s the schedule for the weekend-long Labor Day Bash!

Schedule of Events

Friday (Sept. 4)
12 noon Boat ramp and gas dock closed to accommodate visiting boats
5 – 7 pm   Dinner: Loaded Nachos and a selection of pizzas. $7.
7:30 pm   D. J. TODD PETERSON

Saturday (Sept. 5)
7 – 9 am   Breakfast Casserole, Toast, Cereal. $7.

8 – 12 noon Vendor sales, featuring  jewelry for sale along with travel bags, totes, wallets, men’s travel totes with toiletries and dog grooming products. Also beach bags, beach towels and nautical jewelry. More details below. A portion of the proceeds goes to SRYC Charities.

11 am Dog Contest. Judging for costume and talent. Prizes!

11am – 7pm Food served all day at the food court
From Curly’s Food Wagon:
Homemade tenderloin with waffle fries $7.50.
Beef sandwich with waffle fries $7.50
All beef hot dog w waffle fries $4.50
Homemade corn dog $3
Cheese stix $4
Waffle fries $2
Order of cheese sauce $1

Sunday (Sept. 6)
7 – 9 am   Full Breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, Laura’s homemade biscuits and gravy, toasts, juices, yogurt, fruit. $8.

11 am Kayak Races! Starting line will be at the boat launch. We will have three divisions: Children, Women and Men. Prize money for the first three places at the finish for each division. We have about 9 kayaks so we will have a couple of heats going at the same time. Bring your competitive edge but have fun! Every contestant will need to bring their own life preserver, but you don’t need your own kayak to enter.

11 am – 1 pm Lunch

1/3 lb burger baskets with waffle fries $6
Brat basket with waffle fries $5
Fried Cod with waffle fries $5
All beef Hot Dog with waffle fries $4

5 – 7 pm   Dinner: Chicken Family Style.  Dinner will include a Salad Bar, Bread & Butter, Deep Fried Chicken, with choice of Spaghetti or Tortellini with homemade meat sauce,  a vegetarian Lasagna, for non-meat lovers, and a Chicken & Spinach Lasagna option (just because). Eat ’til you’re full, please no take-home packages. $12, or one punch for SRYC members.

7:30 pm Vinyl Tap Band

Monday (Sept. 9)
7 – 10 am Continental Breakfast

Activities
We will have the Bags game and Horse Shoes.
You might even get in some boating!

Members are asked to bring desserts to be served during the weekend.
