Boats Out

October 20, 2023

Fall crane day is Friday, October 20.

Breakfast will be available for the crew starting at 7:00am. Later in the day, a potluck soup meal will be served.

Fees are $100 for the fall lift, $100 for the spring lift plus $10 per foot for storage, whether on stands or on your own trailer. Fees must be paid in advance.

We will start pulling boats as early as possible, depending on the arrival and setup time for the crane.

Dress for the weather, with gloves and sturdy shoes.

Make sure your stands and plywood bases are ready and located near where your boat will be stored.

If your boat is being hauled, you must be present to drive it over to the crane, or designate another member to do it for you.

Clear all lines & fenders out of the way of the crane straps. Lower antennas. Pump out the bilges.

Make sure the lift points  are clearly marked on your boat. Some blue painter’s tape can help with this if need be.

If you are not helping with pulling and setting boats, stay out of the crane operation area. Keep vehicles clear as well.

Absolutely no alcohol is allowed in the crane operations area.

These are maps showing where boats will be stored for the winter. You may place your stands on the blacktop (not on the grass) near where your boat will be stored starting the weekend of October 13-15.
