SRYC Miss Riverbottom Shark Attack Weekend!!
This weekend is the summer bash you’ve been waiting for! Get your suntan lotion, koozy, and good times rolling as the Starved Rock Yacht Club hosts the 2014 Miss Riverbottom contest. Below is a summary of activities:
Thursday, June 26
- 6-8pm Chicken & Spaghetti Dinner ($10 @Clubhouse)
- 8:30pm – 11:30pm DJ Todd Peterson
Friday, June 27
- 7:30am – 10:30am Continental Breakfast ($3 @Clubhouse)
- 10am – Clubhouse Bar opens
- 11am Lunch (Mixed grill and vendor booths)
- 11am pm Bags Tournament (sign up sheet on bulletin board in Clubhouse)
- 5:30pm – 7:30pm Steak Fry Dinner ($15 @ Clubhouse)
- 6pm Beer Tent
- 8:30pm – 11:30pm Live Outdoor Music from “Snapshot“
Saturday June 28
- 7:30am – 10:30am Full Hot Breakfast ($5 @Clubhouse)
- 11am Lunch (Mixed grill and vendor booths)
- 1pm Horseshoe Tournaments (sign up sheet on bulletin board in Clubhouse)
- 5pm Miss Riverbottom Contest

Sunday, June 28

RVs
- All RVs need a reservation and need to be at the Club by 3pm on Friday, June 27.

BOATS
- Boat docks are first come first serve. However, please contact Art LeBeau @ (815) 434-2810 or Randy Minor @ (815) 343-2319 with arrival time and size of your boat so we can plan accordingly.
- If you are a contestant that will be using your boat or someone else’s boat to prepare for the contest, please convey that information when making your reservations as special accommodations will be made for contestant boats.
Other Notes
- All attendees must purchase a wristband for $5 for weekend festivities. Kids under 13 are free. Attendees without wristbands cannot purchase food or beverage. All food and beverage is cash only.
- Shuttles will be available for remote parking.
- Children are required to be out of the Clubhouse bar by 10pm nightly.
Ron Robb Special People Cruise This Weekend!!
Hey boaters! It’s the first Saturday of June this weekend. Like every year, the good folks at the Starved Rock Yacht Club host the annual Ron Robb Special People Cruise! Please come on down on Saturday morning and offer a helping hand. If you have a pontoon boat, please volunteer to be a Captain! Below are some details and volunteer opportunities:
Ron Robb Special People Cruise is this Saturday, June 7th.
Volunteers are still needed in all areas. If you can help, please arrive at the SRYC between 8-8:30am. If you are a Captain or want to be a Captain, there will be a Captain’s meeting at 8:30am in the upstairs Clubhouse.
We have over 400 folks registered so far, it will be a large cruise this year!
- We are also still in need of reusable bags for prizes, any prizes you might have like beanie babies or other items and we are looking to borrow XXL life vests if you have any.
