A string of unusually cold days has created a thick layer of ice on the harbor. Thick enough, even, that an unnamed member took a spin on the ice in his pickup and backed into one of the new slips on B-dock. Don’t try this at home!

The weather has been cooperating. Water lines have been installed on the docks, and crews have been working hard on installing concrete pads. Some pads had to be notched with a concrete saw in order to make space for the cleats. The new spud poles are being set in place, and soon they will be pounded into the bedrock with a pile driver.
